PTM series motors range in diameter from 25 mm to 55 mm and are low speed permanent magnet synchronous motors which are ideal for timing applications. The single direction (shaded pole design) and reverse direction (phase-shift by capacitor) motors allow automatic self-starting and dynamic braking. With internal impedance protection, the shaft can be stalled continuously without the danger of burning the coils. A variety of plastic and metal gear heads are available to meet the requirements of most applications. All PTM series motors are available with gear head. The applications for PTM series include: valve controls, medical equipment, displays, home equipment, timers, clocks, air conditioners and game machines.
